Registration is now open for the 9th Virgen del Carmen Coronada Swim Crossing

This charity race will take place on Sunday, July 26, at 11:00 a.m., on La Rada Beach, near Plaza del Diario ABC. Registration, limited to 300 participants, will remain open until July 24 at 5:00 p.m. on dorsalchip.es

The Estepona City Council announces that registration is now open for the ninth annual Virgen del Carmen Coronada Swim, which will take place next Sunday, July 26, starting at 11:00 a.m. at La Rada Beach, across from Plaza del Diario ABC.

This non-profit swim is organized by the Estepona Swimming Club (CNE), in collaboration with the Estepona City Council, and continues to aim to promote swimming and, in particular, encourage local residents to participate in its activities at both recreational and competitive levels. After a one-year hiatus, this will be a new opportunity to bring together open-water swimming enthusiasts who, as in past editions, come from different parts of Spain and Europe, as the event is now firmly established on the annual swim calendar.

The event continues to have a charitable focus, in collaboration with the Hermandad Nuestra Señora del Carmen Coronada; therefore, participants are asked to donate, on the day of the event, 1 kilo of non-perishable food to Cáritas Parroquial del Carmen.

For this edition, a children’s race has been scheduled with two distances: a short 300-meter race for swimmers born between 2016 and 2018, inclusive, and a 600-meter race for swimmers born between 2012 and 2015, inclusive.

The adult race will also feature two distances: a 1,400-meter race and a 2,600-meter race (two laps of the course) for swimmers born in 2007 or later.
