Serafín Zubiri and the Municipal Band of Estepona join forces once again in the Plaza del Ajedrez, in the concert ‘Bienvenidos’ dedicated to Miguel Ríos
The monographic show will take place on Sunday, August 24, at 9:00 p.m., under the direction of Maestro José Antonio López Camacho, the principal conductor and artistic director of the Municipal Band of Estepona.
Estepona City Council informs that the singer Serafin Zubiri will offer a new concert next Sunday, August 24, at 21:00 hours, in the Plaza del Ajedrez, with musical accompaniment of the Municipal Band of Estepona, under the direction of José Antonio López Camacho.
In this rock show, entitled ‘Welcome’, the Navarrese artist aims to recognize and extol the impressive musical legacy of the artist Miguel Rios, who, for him, is the greatest exponent as an artistic reference of Spanish-speaking rock.
Zubiri has made an exhaustive sifting through the extensive discography of Miguel Ríos to choose the songs that he considers most emblematic and representative of his long career. Songs like ‘Bienvenidos’, ‘El rock de una noche de verano’, ‘El blues del autobús’, ‘No estás sola’, ‘Santa Lucía’, ‘Rocanrol Bumerang’, ‘Himno a la Alegría’, among many others, make up this artistic proposal.
With this concert, the Municipal Band of Estepona closes the season of ‘Summer Concerts’, while putting in value its versatility to address all kinds of musical styles. During the six performances of the summer cycle, which began on July 20, the Band has performed more than fifty works, including pasodobles, soundtracks of television series and films, great classical and musical works, operettas, modern popular music …
