The artist from Tarifa Antonio Galván shows his colorful work at Casa de Las Tejerinas

The exhibition of minimalist abstract painting will remain in Estepona from October 16 to 29, and can be visited with free access.

The City Council of Estepona informs that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from 16 to 29 October the painting exhibition 'The blue of the sea and the ephemeral existence', by the artist Antonio Galvan Tarifeño.

The exhibition consists of more than twenty works of abstract minimalist expressionist style, and can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

Antonio Galván Luque was born in Tarifa in 1955. He studied Business Studies at the University of Cadiz, and Real Estate Judicial Expert by the University of Vic, Barcelona.

Since he was a child he has been dedicated to traditional painting. In his beginnings he painted still lifes, landscapes, portraits…, but he has been evolving and, in the last years he has dedicated himself preferably to minimalist abstract painting.

After his retirement as an accountant advisor, he has devoted himself exclusively to painting, so he is considered an emerging painter who is making his way in different exhibition halls.

His work is characterized by color, "I try to make my paintings have that which is so essential in life, color. Therefore, color is the hallmark of my personality," he says. Likewise, he intends that both the shapes he interprets in his canvases, as well as the color, are pleasing to the eyes of the viewer.

In most cases he uses the pictorial technique of quick-drying acrylic on canvas and, at other times, he uses oil as the essential chromatic body in his works. Convinced of the influence of color in the restlessness of people, he tries that the vividness of the chromatic expresses in his works qualities such as beauty, elegance and a clear tendency to modernity.

The artist assures that he paints his canvases on the clear condition that they are timeless and, for that very reason, do not create trends. His idea is that his works do not go out of fashion, "that they reflect elegance and that they are unique and avant-garde works", says the author.
