The artist José Luís Biedma exhibits his sculptural work ‘Momentos’ at Casa de Las Tejerinas in Estepona

The opening of the exhibition will take place on October 31, at 6:00 p.m., and it will be open to the public until November 19, with free access.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from October 31 to November 19, the sculptural exhibition ‘Moments’ by the artist José Luís Biedma.

The sculptural exhibition consists of a selection of 20 works, most of them made of steel, which reflect the sensitivity and talent of the artist, offering the public a unique visual experience.

In addition to the Consistory Esteponero, the exhibition has the collaboration of the Andalusian Association of Hemophilia (ASANHEMO), which “joins with enthusiasm to this cultural initiative that promotes art and social participation”.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on October 31 at 18:00 hours, and can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

José Luís Biedma. “I was born on January 7, 1968 in the bosom of a family dedicated to the metal sector, surrounded by tools, measuring instruments, sheet metal cutting and abrasive machines, always with the refusal to follow in my father’s footsteps, even though he was a reference for me without ever recognizing it; until I made his teachings my profession.

I was trained in all the procedures of welding, machining and manipulation of metal, thus entering the monotony of work, until, without thinking about it, I began to find shelter in the creativity of my works. What became an obsession was to bring out every episode of my inner self in creative forms of fantasy.

Without pigeonholing myself in a monotonous and repetitive style, I mix ferrous elements giving them the shape of paintings and objects with forms impossible to imagine, which, in turn, allows me to know myself more and more. The more I build, the more my imagination flows, always without being influenced by any other external style, but being infected by everything it brings me.

Another of my passions is the seabed, which also inspires me, as I practice scuba diving. This passion allows me to dream of forms that I do not find on the surface of the earth.

In this way, I want to share part of this, my work, I hope, always unfinished”.
