The CAB team will promote the Estepona brand in the Endesa Women's League, the elite of Spanish basketball.

Today was presented the new equipment, which as years ago, will carry the brand 'Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol'. In addition, it has been reported on the Vive Cup to be held in the city this weekend, from 5 to 7 September.
The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano; the vice president of Club Amigos del Baloncesto – CAB -, Sebastián González; and the CEO of the textile brand 'Vive', Juan Pedro Parra, today presented the new kit that will wear the players of the senior team of CAB Estepona in their debut in the LF Endesa, the most important league in Spanish basketball.
The first mayor said that for Estepona is very proud that our CAB players promote our municipality throughout the national territory, something that this season makes more sense, since this team has achieved a deserved promotion to the elite of basketball, the Endesa Women's League.
García Urbano recalled the bet that the City Council made in 2021 for this team to wear on their shirts the brand 'Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol', and reiterated the firm commitment that the City Council has with the sport.
Also, the mayor has encouraged the players and coaching staff to continue in the same line of work and sacrifice that has made them make history and become the first Malaga team to rise to the top of Spanish basketball. "Undoubtedly, you are an example for many girls who are inspired by your effort and aspire to develop a sporting career of interest," said the alderman. In addition, he has announced that the City Council will include an item in the municipal budget of 2026 to support this team of Estepona that has more and more projection.
On the other hand, it has also been presented the 'Copa Vive' to be held in Estepona this weekend, from 5 to 7 September, in the sports hall of La Lobilla, and will face the CAB Estepona, Lointek Guernika Bizkaia and Royal Castors Braine.
Both Sebastian Gonzalez and Juan Pedro Parra have highlighted the high level of this tournament, in which the Estepona team will measure forces with these two teams that are the current two-time champions of the League and the Cup and also play this season the Eurocup, which is the second most important continental competition at club level.
