The City Council and the Alliance Française de Malaga launch new courses to promote the teaching of French in the city

The Consistory cedes the facilities of the Padre Manuel Cultural Center so that, for the ninth consecutive year, these internationally recognized degrees can be taught.
People who enroll in classroom courses from 1 to 10 July can benefit from a discount of 50 euros.
The City Council of Estepona and the Alliance Française of Malaga inform that, for the ninth consecutive year, will continue to promote the teaching of the French language in the city through courses, workshops and cultural activities. Both institutions have renewed the collaboration agreement to continue providing French language training in the municipality. Since this collaboration began in 2017 almost 900 students (adults, teenagers and children from 4 years old) have received French language training in the municipality.
The next courses start on October 6 until January 27 for adult courses and until June for children and teenagers courses. The adult courses have two classes per week, and the children and junior courses have one class per week. All classes have a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
This year, as a novelty, there will be a class for 4-5 year old French-speaking children to support language development in a foreign environment. For those who want to practice French for fun or to keep in touch with the language, conversation classes are also offered. The face-to-face courses are held at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, although there is also the option of online courses.
Thanks to the agreement between the City Council and the Alliance Française, discounts are offered to groups in vulnerable situations. For their part, those interested in formalizing their registration from 1 to 10 July will enjoy a discount of 50 euros on registrations in the annual courses for children and juniors and in the four-month courses for adults. There are also other discounts for loyalty or for family and friends.
On the other hand and for the sixth consecutive year, the Alliance Française will continue giving courses in the IES Mediterráneo of Estepona to prepare the students of this institute for the official exams. This offer is developed in this IES during the course as extracurricular French courses reserved only for students of the institute, although the Alliance Française hopes to promote this educational action to other institutes in future courses.
Those in charge of the Alliance Française remind that, at the end of September, the official DELF and DALF exams for adults will be launched, and at the end of October, the DELF Junior exams for ESO and high school students.
The next exams will be held in February, and specialized courses will be offered as exam preparation workshops (from November to February), which focus on the methodology of the exam and allow students to practice the four required skills with a DELF/DALF examiner teacher, certified by the French Ministry of Education.
These diplomas are internationally recognized and allow the assessment of French skills, both academic and professional, for all non-French speakers who wish to have their level of French officially recognized. Thus, candidates have the opportunity to take the exam in Estepona. Also, remember that the Alliance Française is the only examination center for these exams in the entire province of Malaga.
On the other hand, the Alliance Française will continue to organize events in the city to disseminate the French-speaking culture as the monthly screenings of free films in French at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center and other cultural events throughout the year.
