The City Council collaborates with the Brotherhood Santa María de Los Remedios in the organization of the I Solidarity Race “Luz de Remedios”.

The funds raised in this event, to be held on September 7, will be donated to different associations in Estepona.

The Councillor for Sports, Luis Gil and Juan Carlos Garcia and Juan Jose Lopez, elder brother and secretary, respectively, of the brotherhood Santa Maria de Los Remedios today presented the First Urban Solidarity Race “Light Remedies”.

This race is born, not only as a way to promote sport and healthy living, but aims to contribute to charitable causes linked to social action and vocalía Charity Brotherhood. Thus, all proceeds from the sale of bibs will go to various associations in Estepona.

This urban competition is framed within the category of popular races and will have a route of 8 kilometers that will start and finish at the Casa Hermandad de la Real Hermandad Santa María de Los Remedios.

The route has been carefully designed to highlight some of the most emblematic enclaves of Estepona, including the Old Town, Orchidarium, Santa María de Los Remedios Church and the Pedro Manrique Promenade. In addition, as explained from the organization, the race also aims to strengthen community ties in a festive, family and solidarity.

Registration will be open from June 1 through the platform DorsalChip Málaga (www.dorsalchip.es).
