The City Council recognizes the 21 best high school students of Estepona in the XII edition of the Educational Excellence Awards

This municipal initiative, endowed with 12,000 euros, supports students who have obtained the best grades in the different educational centers of the city.
The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, today presented the XII Awards for Educational Excellence for high school students from six schools in the city. The alderman has pointed out that this municipal initiative is intended to recognize the effort made by young people who have obtained the best grades in the last year of high school.
The mayor has addressed the young people reminding them that while studying they are working for their future, and in this sense has urged them to “be aware that everything involves sacrifice”. He also stressed that both perseverance and perseverance will be “your great allies for all academic and professional stages they undertake throughout their lives”. Finally, he reminded them that they are the future, “and that is why you have to be as prepared as possible, so that your environments advance and become spaces where values and professionalism play an absolute leading role”.
These awards are endowed with a total of 12,000 euros. In these awards have participated all students enrolled in the course 2024/2025 in second year of Bachillerato of the centers IES Mar de Alborán, IES Monterroso, IES Mediterráneo, Colegio Patrocinio San José, Colegio Atalaya and Colegio Diocesano Juan XXIII.
Each of the directors, depending on the number of students enrolled in their centers, has prepared a list which includes the average grade obtained during the cycle of Bachillerato.
The election of the winners has been direct, according to these lists of average grades, and the winners are the following:
