The Estepona Municipal Band will kick off the traditional summer concert season this Sunday in Plaza del Reloj

The summer concert season will begin on Sunday, July 26, at 9:00 p.m. The five performances will take place every Sunday, concluding on August 23 with the themed program “Music and Film: A Night in the Wild West.”
The Estepona City Council announces that the new season of Summer Concerts by the Estepona Municipal Band (BME) will kick off on Sunday, July 26, at 9:00 p.m., in the Plaza del Reloj.
This marks the BME’s seventeenth season under the permanent and artistic direction of Maestro José Antonio López Camacho. During the five free performances included in this summer series, the Estepona Municipal Band has performed preludes, interludes, marches, and fantasies from zarzuelas, great classical works and original music for bands, modern popular music, and movie soundtracks…
The performances will take place every Sunday, concluding on August 23 with the themed concert “Music and Cinema: A Night in the Wild West.”

The Estepona Band traces its origins to 1940 and has performed continuously ever since, making it one of the oldest bands in the country. On its 75th anniversary, the City Council awarded it the City’s Gold Medal.
