The Municipal Sports School of Swimming collects its trophy of runner-up of the XXXIX Provincial Swimming Circuit Summer 2025

The group that represented Estepona was made up of fifty swimmers, from the prebenjamín category to the absolute category.

The City Council of Estepona informs that the Municipal Sports School of Swimming of Estepona has been recognized at the Closing Gala of the Provincial Swimming Circuits, held at the Edgar Neville Auditorium of the Diputación de Málaga, where the best results of the winter and summer competitions 2025 were awarded, which have brought together nearly 700 swimmers from 14 municipalities. An appointment to recognize the effort, coexistence and values of grassroots sport throughout the province.

The Estepona team closed the XXXIX summer season with a very positive balance. The young swimmers excelled in both individual events and relays, demonstrating the excellent level of the local youth. The classification by municipalities placed Estepona in a brilliant second place in the province, after Benalmádena.

The gala was attended by the coach of the Municipal Sports School of Swimming, Javier Ferrer, who congratulated the athletes for their effort and dedication.

In addition to several individual podiums, the highlight of the participation of the Municipal Swimming School of Estepona, is obtaining the title of runner-up, as it has been the second in scoring points among the seven towns participating in the summer circuit, along with Alora, Archidona, Benalmadena, Campillos, Nerja and Torrox. In the circuit have participated non-federated swimmers of all ages, including people with functional diversity. The set that has represented Estepona has been made up of fifty swimmers, from prebenjamín category to absolute category.

The Provincial Summer Swimming Circuit of the Provincial Council held its 39th edition during the months of July and August. This educational and participatory competition is organized by the Diputación de Málaga, the Andalusian Swimming Federation and the municipalities attached to the program, and aims, among others, to strengthen the campaigns and municipal swimming schools in the province.
