The musician Abraham Boba will perform at the award ceremony of the V International Poetry Prize 'Ciudad de Estepona', awarded to the author Julia Viejo.

The concert will be held next Thursday, October 23, at 8 p.m. in the concert hall of the Mirador del Carmen. Admission will be free until full capacity
The City Council of Estepona informs that the vocalist of Leon Benavente, Abraham Boba, will offer a free concert next Thursday, October 23, on the occasion of the gala award ceremony of the V International Poetry Prize 'City of Estepona'. The award of this edition has gone to the work "Anidan minerals", the Madrid writer Julia Viejo Sanchez. This contest, organized by the Consistory, has established itself as one of the most important in Spain for its high participation and its economic endowment: 7,000 euros and the publication of the winning work in the prestigious Editorial Pre-Textos, a reference in the field of poetry in Castilian language.
The award ceremony will be held next Thursday, October 23, in the concert hall of the Mirador del Carmen. Subsequently, at 8 pm, the artist Abraham Boba will offer a concert. Access to it will be free, until full capacity.
During the award ceremony, the audience will have the opportunity to participate in a meeting with the winning author, Julia Viejo, in which they can learn about her literary career, discover the creative keys of "Anidan minerales" and talk directly with her about her writing process. In this way, the exchange between writers and readers is encouraged, turning this meeting into a celebration of contemporary literature.

Julia Viejo Sánchez (Madrid, 1981) is the author of the book of short stories En la celda había una luciérnaga (Blackie Books, 2022) and the novel Mala estrella (2024). She has participated in the short story anthology Una Navidad así (Tusquets, 2024) and has edited two poetry anthologies by Gloria Fuertes (Lo que pasa es que te quiero, 2023, and La gente corre tanto, 2024). She has also translated Sylvia Plath's Cometa rojo: arte incandescente y vida fugaz (Bamba editorial, 2023).
