The Polideportivos del Carmen and La Lobilla will host the Kendo Oda Masayoshi Seminar

On September 13 and 14 will meet in Estepona the best athletes of this discipline, as well as national and international masters, as Master Oda Masayoshi, 8th Dan Kyoshi
The Estepona City Council informs that the municipal facilities of the Polideportivo del Carmen and the Polideportivo Cubierto de La Lobilla will host the Kendo Oda Masayoshi Seminar on the weekend of September 12 to 14.
The aim of this event, organized by the Club Shion Dojo (Kendo & Iaido – Malaga), with the collaboration of the City Council of Estepona, is to promote Kendo and Japanese martial arts on the Costa del Sol (Kendo is a martial art that collects the techniques of Japanese sword fencing), strengthen cultural and sporting ties between Spain and Japan, position Estepona as a venue for international sporting events and promote the exchange between practitioners and clubs from different regions.
In fact, the seminar will be attended by many practitioners of this discipline, duly federated. Also, international masters will attend, as well as national Kendo masters of this sport who have participated in previous editions. As last year, attendees will have the opportunity to attend a special training with Master Oda Masayoshi, 8th Dan Kendo Kyoshi, one of the most prestigious instructors in Japan.
The schedule for the seminar is as follows:
Friday 12, Polideportivo El Carmen, from 17:00 to 20:00: Exclusive activity for members of the Shion-Dojo Club.
Saturday 13 and Sunday 14, Polideportivo La Lobilla, Seminar and Keiko open to other clubs. Saturday, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00 hours, and Sunday, from 10:00 to 13:00 hours.
Oda Masayoshi, originally from Kanagawa Prefecture, is a Kendo master and one of the youngest to obtain the 8th Dan degree in his class. He is currently an instructor for the Japanese police and has participated as a trainer at the University of Physical Education, dedicating much of his career to the teaching and dissemination of Kendo, worldwide.
