The VI Asphalting Plan reaches its final stretch after acting on more than 30 streets in the city center and the outskirts of town

The works, which are more than 90 percent complete, have a budget of 1,751,639 euros. The Consistory is already working on what will be the VII Asphalting Plan.

The Estepona City Council reports that the current Municipal Asphalt Plan is in its final stretch, being executed in more than 90 percent. This is the sixth action program carried out by the Consistory in this area, and through which have already been improved more than 30 roads in the town and the suburbs.

To date, work has been completed on all the streets in the town center, such as Peral, Matías Prats, José Luís Díez, Lazaga, Luis Buñuel, Alcalá Galiano, Gabriela Mistral, Juan Guerrero, Ronda, Dos de Mayo, Jacinto Benavente, La Mantilla, Del Naranjo, Terral and José Santacana; and the avenues of Los Frutales, del Carmen and Andalucía, as well as the area around the parking lot on Avenida Libertad. Work has also been completed in the area of the industrial estate in Gutenberg, Alonso Cano, Newton and Arrabal Industrial streets.

Also, in the suburbs are already paved streets Del Molino, Del Aire, De la Estrella, Caddie, Irene Villa, Del Dragma, Avenida Hacienda del Sol and Avenida de los Andaluces, leaving only pending to run the streets Del Reposo, Del Salmón, Isla Verde, Valderrama del Golf, Avenida Mexico, access to Costa Natura beach, access and parking Los Granados and Avenida del Norte.

This action was awarded to the company Elsamex Gestión de Infraestructuras, which submitted the best economic offer, for 1,751,639 million euros, which was a significant reduction compared to the base bid price which was set at 2.2 million euros.

The VI Asphalting Plan is in addition to the five previous ones that have been undertaken in the city and have involved the improvement of more than 200 streets and actions in about 300,000 square meters of surface both in the city center and in areas of the suburbs.

In addition, from the Consistory it has been announced that for this year 2025 will be tendered what will be the VII Asphalting Plan, which will cover another significant number of streets in the municipality.
